Vision

At Sens8tional we envisage a future where the sensory needs of all children are recognised, understood and met, so that they can achieve their true potential in personal, social, emotional and academic learning.

Our children will one day be adults. Ultimately, our vision is to establish a future where a reduction in anxiety levels and general mental health issues are realised. Our approach promotes positive emotional well-being and improvement in quality of life for all.

Meet Debbie

Hi, I’m Debbie!

I am a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) with 14 years’ experience of working with children, young people and adults with a range of needs in both the private and public sector.

I am passionate about raising awareness of sensory processing difficulties and educating individuals, parents and professionals about the impact of sensory needs and environments on learning, behaviour and engagement.

All individuals have the right to reach their true potential in all aspects of life and to achieve positive emotional wellbeing. I am a parent of three fantastic young children who teach me so much every day!

I am our qualified Sensory Integration (SI) Practitioner (SI Network, Cardiff University, 2012).  I’m a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapist’s; registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and fully DBS cleared.

Meet Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah!

I’m a qualified  teacher with over 10 years classroom experience,  I have taught nursery and primary age children – specialising in the early years .

In the classroom I observed a range of behaviours and – through experience – have learnt to recognise many of these behaviours as sensory-related.

I believe that once we have a true understanding of why behaviours are displayed, we are better-equipped to support our children in managing them.

As a team we feel strongly that a partnership between parents and professionals that work towards addressing the foundations for learning has the capacity to benefit our children hugely.

I am a mother to 4 wonderful young children and hugely passionate about awareness and support of sensory processing issues. I have first hand experience in managing sensory needs from both a personal and professional perspective.
